Notes: Pin Oaks are among the most popular trees planted in the US and can often be found in commercial and residential landscapes. They are valued for their deep orange to bright red fall color and their pyramidal form. Their fibrous root systems have adapted them to tolerate poor draining wet soils. Like other oaks, the Pin Oak bears acorns.
